Vospers and Zantra - 7.5 miles of Network Cable!

South West Motor Group, Vospers, located at Marsh Mills Motor Park in Plymouth, has recently undergone a major redevelopment and investment to offer state of the art facilities and 4 brand new showrooms to it's customers in Plymouth and across Devon and Cornwall.

Zantra JAD are proud to have been able to help Vospers implement their new Data Communications Network following the redevelopment of their Marsh Mills site.

Vospers have expanded their operation with the acquisition of Renault and Nissan in late 2010. Peugeot was acquired earlier in the autumn of 2009 to join the other franchises located at Vospers Marsh Mills Motor Park, including Ford, Fiat, Mazda and Abarth. Vospers Marsh Mills Motor Park hosts New and Used Car Sales, Service, Parts and Rapid Fit.

The whole site needed extensive cabling and associated IT equipment to ensure that the Group are equipped with the ICT speeds required by the largest motor group in the South West and leader in European Motor Industry.

Dave Hulme, Zantra’s Contracts Manager explained:

“Our team of four experienced technicians did the entire network cabling totalling around 12,500 metres or 7.5 miles!! Our team installed fibre optic cables and all the telephone backbone cabling. However, the development of the state of the art Vosper’s training room was really exciting. We installed an interactive smart board and a projector with a high quality sound system so that the Company can host their own training in house”.

Gordon Boys, Vosper’s Group IT Manager, commented:

“The JAD White Board will bring a new dimension to our in-house training, will reduce costs and will allow us to further expand our meeting facilities. The extensive redevelopments at Vospers Marsh Mills Motor Park mean that we are constantly having meetings and discussions about what is happening. The new white board has made meetings much more streamlined and efficient. 

Marsh Mills Motor Park was a large Vospers project and Dave and his team met all the challenges – delivering on time and to budget”.
